Here at Bluewater Publications we offer an assortment of editorial services to ensure your manuscript reaches its full potential. These editorial services are available for authors who submit manuscripts, as well as those simply looking for editorial assistance with their work. Our team of editors works hard to assist authors. They are a team of professional editors who work hard to keep up to date on the latest editorial standards.

LEVELS OF EDITING OFFERED:

Developmental Editing ($80 per hour)

The developmental editing process will assist with:

• Structural issues (reorganizing, cutting, expanding)

• Plot flow

• Sequencing

• Pacing

• Point of View

• Dialogue, scene, and character development

• Narrative and character use

• Transitions

• Any other big-picture questions from the author

Copyediting ($60 per hour)

The copyediting process will assist with:

• Adherence to Chicago Manual of Style

• Grammar

• Punctuation

• Syntax

• Minor language repetition

• Spelling

Proofreading ($55 per hour)

The proofreading process will assist with:

• Adherence to Chicago writing style

• Remaining punctuation and grammar errors

• Formatting errors/inconsistencies

• Spelling

During each editing process, editors will send the author assessments for each chapter. These assessments will include suggestions for fixes or queries about portions of the work, which may need improved upon or clarified.
